Biljana Hajduković

Biljana Hajduković builds her artistic path through a continuous intertwining of different disciplines, which naturally channeled into production over time. It all started in primary music school, where she acquired a foundation in the violin – an instrument she uses today as a prop in her play "Petra". In this authorial work, she explores the myth of Sisyphus through the form of contemporary circus, investigating how classical motifs can be transformed into physical theatre. She formalized her visual expression at the "Bogdan Šuput" design school in Novi Sad, where she focused on design and murals. This experience enabled her to secure funding through various projects and realize the painting of public spaces, while through performances with the contemporary circus she established cooperation with numerous theatre schools.

The need for a deeper understanding of text and narrative led her to study comparative literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, where she acquired a theoretical foundation on the structure of written works. She is currently in her third year of production at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, as she believes that production is the exact field that allows her to unite all her previous knowledge. She gained practical experience by organizing plays and working on international projects, such as collaborating with a theatre from Slovenia on the preparation of street theatre performed in Pula. Her goal is to connect different artistic forms into concrete and sustainable projects through production work.
