Olivera Gočanin Concert

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in the Atrium of the National Museum in Belgrade, starting at 5 PM, the 19th International Competition of Solo Singers "Lazar Jovanović" was officially opened. This year's competition opened with a spectacular solo concert by the young and promising singer Olivera Gočanin.

About the performer

Olivera Gočanin is a student of solo singing at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the class of Prof. Aneta Ilić, and a member of the ensemble of the "Madlenianum" Opera and Theatre. The young artist builds her career with exceptional dedication and a recognizable vocal expression, which has already largely attracted the attention of the professional audience and critics.

Program

The program of this gala concert included works by prominent composers, which demanded both vocal virtuosity and deep emotional interpretation. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy compositions by Henry Purcell, Hugo Wolf, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Francis Poulenc, and Miloje Milojević.

Special guests of the concert were Martina Koljenšić and Marko Kostić, who further enriched this artistic night with their performances.

Festive atmosphere

The Atrium of the National Museum once again showed why it is one of the most beautiful spaces for ambient concerts in Belgrade. The audience in the crowded courtyard of the museum enjoyed the sounds of classical music, and responded to this solemn introduction to the competition with warm and long applause, announcing successful competition days ahead.
