Musical Vaults of Belgrade

Dürer as Inspiration

Musical Performance

With the concert "Dürer as Inspiration", we officially opened the season entitled "Musical Vaults of Belgrade". Merging music with other arts, the idea of this season is that each of the concerts be presented in the context of a certain artistic movement, work, or personality, making the musical experience multidimensional. The music editor of the season is pianist Dina Čubrilović, and the realization itself took place in partnership with the Belgrade City Museum.

At the first concert of the newly founded season, we presented the Belgrade Baroque ensemble, which played compositions from the German-speaking area from the early baroque period. Surrounded by extraordinary works by Albrecht Dürer, visitors had the opportunity to perhaps hear live for the first time the works of Rosenmüller, Schmelzer, and Muffat — masters whose music perfectly corresponds with the painting of the great Nürnberger.

"Merging music with other arts, the idea of this season is that each concert be presented as a kind of art form."

This concert marked the beginning of the long-standing edition Musical Vaults of Belgrade, whose productions were seen by thousands of visitors over the next six seasons in historical and cultural spaces of Belgrade.
