Musical Vaults of Belgrade

E.T.

Concert

The concert under the symbolic name "E.T.", performed by the prominent Slovenian harpist Eva Tomšič, represented one of the most impressive musical events within the "Musical Vaults of Belgrade" cycle. The event was simultaneously held as part of the 15th International Harp Festival "Star Harps".

Held on May 17, 2016, in the acoustic and historical ambiance of the Residence of Princess Ljubica, this performance brought a blend of refined technique and deep musicality. The harp, as an instrument that requires exceptional physical and mental preparation, became a medium in the hands of Eva Tomšič through which the works of great masters of musical history came to life. The program was carefully designed to show all the possibilities of the instrument – from the classical clarity of Mozart's sonata to Hindemith's modern sound language.

"The elegant sounds of the harp under the vaults of the Residence reminded us of the importance of preserving top artistic tradition in the heart of our city."

This project is the result of continuous cooperation between the Cultural Element organization and the Belgrade City Museum, whose goal is the revitalization of historical spaces through supreme artistic creation. The audience had a rare opportunity to hear the harp in a chamber, intimate environment that further emphasized the subtlety of Tomšič's performance.
