Partner programme. “File za troje” is not a Kulturni element production but a play by the Belgrade Youth Theatre. We offer it as part of our touring programme as producers: we agree dates, terms and technical requirements with hosts and organise the company’s visit.
“File za troje” is a theatre thriller full of unexpected twists and comic situations. This bitter comedy reminds us that anyone can present themselves as anyone, but the truth is like water and always finds its way to the surface.
A dynamic, layered piece, it balances on the fine line between psychological thriller, social drama and black humour. At its centre are the masks we all wear in the game of manipulation, where the mask is the best-selling item.
It seemingly begins as another familiar, tangled melodrama of our everyday, cramped spaces: a love triangle, the weight of living together and the pressure of the biological clock. We recognise these people from the flat upstairs, from the neighbourhood, from our own wrong decisions. The characters share not only a roof and unspoken tensions, but a dangerous psychological game with enormous stakes.
Directed by Bojan Lojković, with Kristina Pejičić Dajč, Ilija Blagojević and Aleksa Jovanović. Performed by the Belgrade Youth Theatre in cooperation with Medusa Production.
Who are we when the lights go out and we are left alone with our intentions?
