During the formal closing of the extremely well-attended exhibition "Dürer and his Contemporaries", a concert by the ensemble "Katarina i Ljubica duo" was held in the acoustic hall under the vaults of the Residence of Princess Ljubica. The duo consists of Katarina Ranković and Ljubica Damčević, and the program relied on baroque and renaissance music which, in an encounter with Dürer's works, gained a completely new dimension.
With this concert, symbolically named "Melancholy" after Dürer's famous engraving (Melencolia I), the Cultural Element organization and the Belgrade City Museum rounded off the program dedicated to the great renaissance master. This event was also the second concert within the "Musical Vaults of Belgrade" cycle.
Before the start of the concert, Danijela Vanušić on behalf of the Belgrade City Museum and Tadija Miletić on behalf of the Cultural Element association addressed the large audience, emphasizing the importance of such a merging of visual and musical art, as well as the exceptional cooperation achieved during the exhibition.
