Museum in the Heart of the City

Plucks Through Sleep

Concert

With the concert entitled "Plucks Through Sleep", held on July 6, 2017, in the beautiful ambiance of the Museum of Vuk and Dositej, the Cultural Element successfully continued its multi-year collaboration with the National Museum in Belgrade. This event was realized as part of the popular summer manifestation "Museum in the Heart of the City" and the "Belgrade Summer Musical Evenings" cycle.

The young and talented harpist Katarina Stanković performed before the Belgrade audience. With her virtuoso, yet highly sensitive performance, she filled the courtyard and the museum space with gentle and dreamy sounds that perfectly matched the title of the concert itself.

"The combination of the gentle tones of the harp and the historical ambiance provided visitors with a perfect escape from the city bustle into a true artistic oasis."

The concert attracted a large number of visitors, lovers of classical music, and those who wanted to enjoy a specific program designed for an instrument of rich tonal colors such as the harp. This project once again confirmed the idea that museum spaces can serve as extraordinary stages that give music a completely new, historical dimension.
