"Letters of the Executed" in Beijing

Kulturni Element achieved its first guest appearance in Asia – in March 2024, the concert-drama "Letters of the Executed" was performed at the Serbian Cultural Centre in Beijing, giving an audience the opportunity to experience one of our most powerful artistic programmes.

About the Performance "Letters of the Executed"

The concert-drama "Letters of the Executed" is one of Kulturni Element's most profoundly felt productions. Drawing on authentic letters and testimonies of victims of World War II firing squads, the programme weaves literary text, music and stage expression into a deeply moving artistic whole.

This type of programme is especially valuable in an international context, as the themes of collective sacrifice, resilience and remembrance transcend linguistic and cultural barriers and reach every audience.

Belgrade Artists in Beijing

The guest performance was realised in cooperation with the Serbian Cultural Centre in Beijing, which has for years worked to promote Serbian culture and art in China. Kulturni Element's performers, met with a warm reception and applause from the Chinese audience, confirmed that art truly knows no borders.

This appearance marks a new step in the international affirmation of Kulturni Element and opens the door to future collaborations with Asian cultural institutions.
