On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Progres Gallery, Cultural Element presented to the Belgrade audience two winners of the 15th International Solo Singers Competition "Lazar Jovanović" — soprano Katarina Radovanović and tenor Mladen Prodan. This concert is part of the annual "Winners" edition, which gives the most successful young singers the opportunity to present themselves independently to the Belgrade audience on prestigious concert stages.
At the very beginning, the audience was welcomed by the president of the organization, Tadija Miletić, who introduced the program and highlighted the tendencies of the "Lazar Jovanović" Competition — one of the most important platforms for new generations of opera singers in the region. Katarina Radovanović and Mladen Prodan, accompanied on piano by composer and pianist Milica Ilić, performed arias and duets from masterpieces of the Italian opera repertoire — Verdi's operas I Vespri Siciliani, La Traviata, and Un ballo in maschera, as well as Puccini's La Bohème and Tosca.
As special guests, the concert also featured Stevan Karanac (tenor) and Isidora Stevanović (soprano), whose performances completed the evening and offered the audience a truly rich operatic program. The concert thus became a gathering of generations of competition winners, confirming the continuing mission of the "Winners" edition — connecting and affirming young opera artists.
