At the prestigious nineteenth KoMA Festival (Association of Young Authors), on December 17, 2022, a concert showcase of an experimental music-stage piece titled "Krosna" was held. The composition for chamber ensemble and string orchestra, written by composer Olga Janković in the original 2020 version and revised in 2022, was performed by the renowned string orchestra "St. George Strings" under the baton of Aleksandar Gutić, featuring sopranos Nataša Jovović and Doroteja Aranđelović, and the artistic contribution of the mixed choir "Simonida".
However, what makes this project unique is its second, alternative phase. Following the solemn performance in the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, under the conceptual direction of Tadija Miletić, a special video performance set in an unusual, private residential environment was created. Through this specific artistic intervention, dancers Vladimir Čubrilo, Mila Stijak, and Katarina Bućić brought movement to life within the boundaries of everyday domestic life, presenting the powerful idea that the immediate environments where we spend our lives are also spaces for fine art.
This experimental approach directly corresponds to the core philosophy of Cultural Element's mission — the continuous artistic mapping and revitalization of spaces where fine art is traditionally not present. Through the synergy of chamber music, traditional sounds, and intimate contemporary dance in a home atmosphere, an audio-visual unity was crafted to redefine the boundaries of performing arts. The project was realized with the partnership support of the Faculty of Music Arts and SOKOJ.
