On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in the Ceremonial Hall of the "Stanković" Music School, Tadija Miletić held an intensive workshop and seminar entitled "Opera for Beginners". This six-hour educational program attracted a large number of professors and students of this prestigious school, while eleven selected attendees actively participated in the workshop itself.
The music workshop is based on the synergy of several important artistic and educational principles. The concept was developed based on Jack Canfield's master's degree and his success systems, as well as on the rich experience of the Cultural Element organization. Also, the program incorporates the principles of the European network RESEO (European Network for Opera and Dance Education) and the educational methods of easy access to young people developed by Mensa.
The main goal of the workshop is to introduce young people to the basics of operatic dramatic creation, theater practice, terminology, and working methods. Encompassing a number of important theatrical principles that are the foundation of creativity, "Opera for Beginners" breaks down prejudices that creating and participating in an operatic work requires exclusively unattainable and unique talents. Through interactive work, participants are encouraged to unleash their creative potential and become active participants in the creation of art.
