In the prestigious ambiance of the Central Military Club of Serbia, on November 27, 2024, a spectacular solo concert by soprano Nevena Đoković titled "A Voice That Captivates" was held. This event represented the crown of the "Winners" edition, a project of the Cultural Element dedicated to the affirmation of the most successful laureates of the "Lazar Jovanović" International Solo Singers Competition.
The ceremony was officially opened by Tadija Miletić, President of the Cultural Element, who greeted the attendees and personally presented the main "Lazar Jovanović" award. During the ceremony, a special financial award traditionally provided by the benefactor of the Cultural Element, prominent businessman Zoran Kalabić, was also presented in support of the development of young opera hopes.
With the powerful and inspired accompaniment of the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički", under the confident baton of maestra Vesna Šouc, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy a carefully selected program. The repertoire included works by greats such as Puccini, Lehár, Bizet, Donizetti, and Gounod.
Special guests at the concert were tenor Marko Živković and soprano Marijana Šovran, whose solo numbers and duets with Nevena Đoković brought extra magic to this musical event. The Cultural Element expresses special gratitude to Lieutenant Colonel Nikola Živković, the "Stanislav Binički" Ensemble, and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia for their exceptional cooperation and logistical support in realizing this unforgettable concert.
