As part of the sixth season of the capital art project Musical Vaults of Belgrade, the artistic performance titled "The Marriage of Prince Marko" stands as one of three stage works inspired by rich national tradition and the museum's permanent collection. This unique traditional showcase premiered during the New Year holidays, on Wednesday, January 14 at 8 PM on the official YouTube channel of the Cultural Element.
Within the beautiful historic atmosphere of the Residence of Princess Ljubica, through movement, visual symbols, and ritual folk expressions, this authentic scenic story was brought to life by talented students from the Faculty of Contemporary Arts. The roles are portrayed by Teodora Gačić, Teodora Bićanin, Marija Marković, Sara Bojić, Bojana Štrbac, Nina Zečević, Milena Golijaš, and Dragana Stojanović, shaping the performance through original choreography and traditional musical accompaniment.
The complete concept and direction of this performance are signed by Tadija Miletić. The elaborate costumes and masks that emphasize the authenticity of the era were designed by Studio Artestre. This traditional musical-theatrical season, held for the sixth consecutive year in collaboration with the Museum of the City of Belgrade, was officially supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
