We Give Art

Ceremonial awarding of artworks

"We Give Art" is an annual donor project of the Cultural Element organization, conceived as a ceremonial awarding of artworks to exceptional and talented young people from various fields — medicine, music, IT, sports, mathematics, chemistry, and entrepreneurship. The project highlights and rewards individuals who have distinguished themselves through their dedication and who are just beginning their great careers.

The concept is unique: the award given by Cultural Element is an artwork — but an artwork inspired by the recipient's own success. In this way, each year a circle of Belgrade artists from various art forms (mosaic artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, designers, poets) gather to create works especially for the occasion. The ceremonial awarding takes place in the representative atmosphere of Krsmanović House on Terazije, one of the most recognizable buildings of Belgrade's architectural heritage.

"The award we present is not a medal or a diploma — but an original artwork, conceived especially for you and your path."

The project simultaneously marks the anniversary of the Cultural Element organization. Across two editions, thirteen recipients and thirteen artists were brought together, establishing a living connection between sciences, sports, entrepreneurship, and the arts — in the spirit that rests on the foundation of Cultural Element's mission.

That year, the initiative was joined by six Belgrade artists from different fields of art: mosaic artist Olivera Štrbac, painter Bojana Trivić, sculptor Marko Lađušić, twin sisters and painters Mina and Nina Čubrilović, and poet Nemanja Dragaš, who donated their specially created artworks.

The recipients in 2017 were: Dr. Stevan Repac, biochemist Ivan Milenković, composer Jug Konstantin Marković, pianist Ivana Damjanov, Jovana Ružičić (founder of the Center for Mothers), and Marko Radojičić (founder of Belgrade Edt Culture). After the ceremonial awarding, guests enjoyed an anniversary cocktail reception prepared by the culinary workshop "Gogina vangličica".
