Last night, July 15, 2017, in the crowded SANU Gallery, we had the opportunity to open the exhibition of the National Museum “Edgar Degas: Moments of observation. ” Especially for this occasion, we prepared a special music-dance performance, which was a great evening surprise. Following one of the headlines of Edgar’s ballet creations, Marina Miletić and Dušanka Kaličanin made live images created by the great Degas, while the pianist Dina Čubrilović performed the compositions by Edgar’s contemporaries – Debussy and Fauré. After the grand applause and numerous positive reactions of the audience, the opening ceremony continued. The audience was greeted by Academician Dušan Otašević, Director of the Gallery SANU, and after the speech of Director of the National Museum Bojana Borić Brešković, President of SANU, Academician Vladimir S. Kostić declared the exhibition open.
