Quod Fatum

Concert-play about the life of P. I. Tchaikovsky

The concert-play "Quod Fatum" (What is Fate), premiered on July 29, 2016, in the authentic ambiance of the Residence of Princess Ljubica. This project represents a significant part of our multi-year cycle "Musical Vaults of Belgrade" and belongs to the unique "Portraits of Composers" edition.

Combining dramatic and musical art directed by Tadija Miletić and based on the dramatic text by Dina Čubrilović, "Quod Fatum" takes the audience through the intimate world of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Through the dramatization of his long correspondence with the patron Nadezhda von Meck, the complex emotional layers and inspiration behind his most famous works are revealed.

"Every note and every word in this play bears witness to the fate that inexorably guided the creative spirit of the composer."

First official guest performance: With this piece, the Cultural Element also had its first guest performance outside Belgrade. The play was performed with great success on October 31, 2016, at the "Dobrica Milutinović" Theatre in Sremska Mitrovica, which marked the beginning of a new era of the association's activities.
